Russian union to restrict coach imports?

The governments of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus are considering introducing an 18% import tax to restrict imports of Euro4-engined long-haul coaches to their customs union. To stimulate sales of their own products - notably from the Volzhanin factory in the Volgograd region, GAZ and Kamaz in Russia and MAZ in Belarus - the tax would apply to all imports of vehicles of 11.5m to 13m with 41 to 55 seats and 5cum to 1 2cum luggage capacity.
