It was the sale that never was. Stagecoach agreed in March last year to buy First's operations in North Devon, but the deal was subject to Office of Fair Trading approval, which did not come. Stagecoach withdrew from the deal and First withdrew from North Devon on 22 September, leaving the way open for Stagecoach to provide replacement services.
