Veolia Transdev is seeking a buyer for its German arm, Veolia Verkehr. The new director of the German arm, Frenchman Stephane Rambaud-Measson, announced the news in a letter to employees. He says the sale could mark a new start for the company. The aim is to sell off Veolia Verkehr as a single unit and not split up its operations. It is currently Germany's largest private transport operator with around 5,600 staff and an annual turnover in 2011 of €605million (£523million).
