Weight increase mooted for two-axle vehicles across Europe

The European Commission is actively considering increasing the weight limit of two-axle buses and coaches from 1 8tonnes to 19tonnes. The ostensible reason is to compensate for the additional weight caused by batteries, gas tanks and/or dual propulsion systems on ultra-low and zero emission buses.
