The subject of dwell times at bus stops is commented on most months in Buses, either in the context of ticketing modes or the number of doors on the bus. I have to chuckle then, when on board buses I see notices advising passengers to ring the bell and remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop. The following mayhem as people alighting get tangled up with those getting on the bus would be amusing if it did not delay my journey.
