One slightly puzzling feature of this book is that there is no declared author, just a copyright assigned to Hugh Taylor, a well-known expert on London Transport's trolleybuses. That system - once the world's largest -closed 54 years ago but continues to generate a surprising wealth of publications, of which this is one of the latest, a pictorial history of the routes that served the East End dock areas from June 1937 to July 1961. A scene-setting introduction leads on to an informatively captioned selection of mainly black and white photographs, grouped by stretches of route. These are from a variety of sources, many of them enthusiasts but also the London Transport Museum.
