Heritage Malta seeks bids for route buses

Heritage Malta has invited bids for 45 yellow former route buses stored since the island state introduced a franchised service in July 2011. It advertised the vehicles in a notice issued on 28 January and bids had to be submitted by noon on 18 March, with preference given to parties prepared to use the buses for cultural purposes in future. They were being sold in their current condition, with no warranty for any latent defects that may arise after purchase. Bidders were free to make offers for any number of the vehicles and their offers must remain valid until 15 August and, if successful, their bid must remain good for a further 60 days after notification by Malta Heritage.
