A trolleybus-like vehicle returned to Prague on 15 October, 45 years to the day after the once extensive trolleybus system was closed down in the Czech capital. Prague public transport company DPP began trial operation of a dynamically charged SOR TNB12 fitted with a pantograph. The three-door single-decker gets a sharp boost to its batteries when travelling under the new 1km section of overhead wires on a steep hill in the Presok neighbourhood. Prague has been trying out various electric bus types since 2010, but the terrain has been limiting the life of their batteries, which are charged at end stations in the city.
