OS Midlands Branch celebrates at Gaydon

The Omnibus Society's Midland Branch celebrated its 70th anniversary on 8 April with a special event at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon - where this year's Buses Festival returns on 20 August. Members from the south of the Midlands arrived by Stagecoach's heritage ex-Eastern Counties Bristol Lodekka FLF453 (JAH 553D) and from the north in TM Havel's Volvo Bl2M/Plaxton Paragon coach 63, which may only be nine years old, but carries registration YRC 180 originally on one of Trent's 1962 Leyland Tiger Cubs.
