Thankless task of organising rallies and running days

I have not attended Showbus for a couple of years, so cannot comment on the pros and cons of Donington Park as a venue (You Write, November). What I can comment on is the difficulty in organising such an event. I have been involved in organising the running day and open weekend at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum for the past 15 years. I have endured the long hours before, during and after. I have done it to promote the museum but is a thankless task, done on a voluntary basis, giving up my own time.
