This budget priced book describes the last 840 Leyland double-deckers delivered to Coras Iompair Eireann: the D-class Atlanteans built between 1966 and 1977 primarily for use in Dublin, but also Cork and Limerick. CIE's Alexander-influenced fleetnumbering often defied logic and Michael Dryhurst tells us that in the case of the Atlanteans, D was for Deirdre.
