Switch brand appears on Optare factory

The Switch Mobilty brand has been applied to the Optare factory at Sherburn in Elmet. This is one of the first signs of the new branding to appear outside of press releases, with the Optare brand continuing to be used and applied to vehicles. Ashok Leyland announced the Switch Mobility rebrand of Optare in late 2020, though the Optare name is expected to endure on diesel vehicles. Electric buses produced by the company will at some point be badged as Switch instead. Seen in this drone shot of the facility is an electric Optare Metrodecker destined for Tower Transit.
