RATP set to spark up west London

After three months in which no tendered service announcements have been made, the latest awards will see RATP's London United and London Sovereign operations introduce over 120 battery electric buses on to eight west London routes next year. The 290 (Staines-Tweickenham) will be the first TfL service that crosses the Surrey boundary to go battery electric, although diesels or hybrids will continue to provide a small number of journeys on it as well as routes 65 (Ealing-Kingston), 183 (Golders Green-Pinner), 281 (Hounslow-Tolworth), 371 (Kingston-Richmond) and X140 (Harrow-Heathrow Airport).
