Passenger numbers appear to be holding steady, though for the last week of October -half-term in most of England - they fell back by up to 12 percentage points, suggesting that as many as one in five passengers travel only on schooldays. The members of the Ten Per Cent Club - an informal group of managers of PLC, municipal and independent companies dedicated to increasing bus patronage - say that ridership also remained steady on their services.
