Today's Volvo 9900 tri-axle integral coach may be one of the most distinctively styled designs on the market, but there is little new under the sun and it is by no means the first coach with unconventional window lines. Take this picture by John C. Gillham of ANP 611, a petrol-engined Maudslay ML5 new in March 1936 to P. Owen & Sons of Abberley, Worcestershire and fitted with a 32-seat forward entrance body by Grose of Northampton.
