Bachmann revives EFE's Ribble Atlantean

Baehmann Europe has brought EFE's Ribble Atlantean back on sale in the guise of MkI PDR1/11645, from the original intake of50 with full-height Metro-Cammell bodies delivered in 1959/60.An earlier EFE model of one of these groundbreaking double-deckers, of which Ribble (100 years old in 2019) placed a launch order for 95, showed it in its original livery with underlined block capital fleetnames.This one also is in the company's classic dark red and cream, but with the upper and lower case letter fleetname introduced around 1970, just after the National Bus Company took over. It shows it operatingroute 101 to Preston from Liverpool.
