摘要

The 5th Indonesian Geothermal Association Scientific Conference and Exhibition were held successfully in Yogyakarta (Java island), a city well known as an education center of excellence, on March 7-10,2001, with the theme Dedicating Geothermal Energy to Community Prosperity. This theme was chosen in line with the program of regional autonomy of Indonesia, along with an exchange of ideas on how the geothermal energy potential can be developed wisely for the prosperity of local communities. It was an honour for INAGA that the 28th IGA BoD meeting was also held in conjunction with this conference and exhibition.
