4,000-Well Database Back On Line

The GeoSteam database of the Geothermal Unit, California Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) is back on line. The database contains almost 4,000 well records for online viewing. Well records include drilling histories, well-design information, temperature- and mud-logs, and other data. A user can sort the records by county, field, operator, API number, section, township, and range. Federal well data can be accessed if the lease is no longer active, the well was drilled with public funds, or the operator has released the records from confidential status. Monthly geothermal production- and injection-data can be accessed, as well.
