The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) is supporting the Iceland Geothermal Conference (IGC) hosted by the Icelandic Geothermal Cluster Initiative (IGCI). The event will be held 5-8 March in Reykjavik. The aim of the international conference is to share effective exploration methods, ways to maximize the utilization of geothermal energy, and realize geothermal projects with less risk and higher profitability. The term cluster is defined as a geographically-defined group of companies and associated institutions in a particular field, linked by commonalities and complementarities. In a cluster there is a system of interconnected firms and institutions whose value as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
