The Spanish Colonial design of this 650-seat church echoes the Mexican-American culture of the congregation. White stucco walls, tile, red metal roofing and Spanish baroque motifs on the walls and windows create a magnificent, yet familiar look. Stone arches and a covered loggia link the interior and exterior. A large plaza for gatherings and celebrations feeds into the worship space, drawing on the traditional Mexican community layout where towns are centered around a church and square. A shrine near the altar table and a sunburst of gold leaf on the backdrop wall create a stunning centerpiece for the worship area.
