Woes pile up for Interserve as shareholders mull rescue plan

As Interserve shareholders prepare to vote on a company rescue plan later this morning, the scale of the day-to-day problems besieging the firm shows no sign of letting up. Shareholders will be asked to wave through a proposal which will see the firm cut its debt by £435m in return for its banks and other lenders taking a 95% stake in the company - leaving shareholders holding the remaining 5%.
