Construction to cash in on capital spend

Construction looks set to win hundreds of millions of pounds of work regardless of the outcome of the general election. In their manifestos, which have now all been published, the three major parties have committed to capital spending programmes during the next parliament. If, as predicted, the Conservative Party wins on 12 December, it has promised to invest £100bn over the next five years on road, rail and other infrastructure projects.
