Southwark Council's planning committee has ignored the advice of Cabe and approved plans for Squire & Partners' One Tower Bridge development in London. The design watchdog criticised the project in two successive reports, saying the scheme's architecture was not powerful enough to "hold its own in the string of major cultural buildings along the South Bank".
