2.6% fall in third quarter

Construction output fell again in the third quarter of 2012, making it the fifth consecutive quarter to see a drop. The latest figures from die Office for National Statistics show a 2.6% fall, with the total volume at its lowest since the second quarter of 1999. Seven of die nine construction sectors showed a fall in the third quarter, with the largest decrease, 8.2%, in private commercial work.
