Minister calls in 3DReid Margate development

The secretary of state has called in plans by 3DReid for the redevelopment of Arlington House in Margate. The proposals for developer Freshwater would see the construction of a 7,500sq m supermarket at the base of the 1960s tower block as well as external alterations to the building. The planning inspector will now prepare a recommendation for the secretary of state, rather than determining the decision.
