Architects hail regional office revival

Architects working outside London are predicting that increased levels of activity in the regional office market will lead to increased revenues and jobs in the new year. A statement filed by listed practice Aukett Fitzroy Robinson with the City this week said it had started work on several speculative office schemes. The practice said: "We have seen the re-emergence of office developers proceeding before securing pre-lets in the UK regional market. "We have instructions in a number of regional cities which have in excess of 1.1 million sq ft of space and an estimated construction value of £150 million."
