Guidance on fees would benefit all

I completely agree that the RIBA should be providing leadership through a guidance document on fees (Leader November 29). It would be helpful to both clients and the profession and would help align with the new Plan of Work. Too long has there been this fear that any guidance falls into the trap of restrictive practice of a mandatory fee scale and is anticompetitive. Nonsense. Clear guidance would bring transparency to this essential but opaque part of practice, for the benefit of public and architects alike.
