Finch's legacy was to build a better London

The architect George Finch has died aged 82, writes farmer Oreater London Council architect Bob Giles. Like so many young, idealistic-architects of his generation, George wanted to help build a better London out of the ruins of the blitz. This led him to the LCC where the scope tor innovation was limited by standard plan types.
