David Barista David Barista has returned to this magazine as Editor-in-Chief after serving in the same capacity at our sister publication, Professional Builder. An alumnus of Eastern Illinois University, Barista joined BD+C in 2001, rising to Senior Managing Editor before assuming the Professional Builder post. He has won numerous journalism awards, most notably sharing the 2012 Jesse H. Neal Award (Grand Neal Finalist) for his work on Professional Builder's "Tablet" issue.
