The economic and cultural hub of North Texas, Dallas-Ft. Worth has seen a 290% increase in its Hispanic population in the last decade, according to data from Geoscape International, American Marketscape DataStream: 2011 Series. Dallas-Ft. Worth is the No. 5 Hispanic market in the U.S., with 2.1 million Latinos calling it home. Latinos clearly outnumber African-Americans non-Hispanics and Asian non-Hispanics. Today, Mexicans comprise 85% of the Latino population. The next largest group are Salvadorans, which represent 5% of Dallas-Ft. Worth's Hispanic residents. Puerto Ricans and Guatemalans each represent 2% of the population while Hondurans make up 1%.
