Within the last few years there has been a steady growth in productive interaction between research workers trained in philosophy and those trained in physics or mathematics, particularly in relation to the measurement and locality issues of quantum theory. To the present reviewer, with a physics and mathematics background, this has meant that philosophers of science have turned their attention, and insights, to real problems and questions, even including those whose resolution might have experimental implications. This is in contrast to a style of philosophy of science which— again from a particular perspective—seems to be concerned with little more than linguistic niceties.
