Italian JV scoops Storstrom Bridge project

Construction of the new Storstrom Bridge between the islands of Zealand and Falster in Denmark is expected to start next autumn after the client Danish Road Directorate last month selected the Italian joint venture as the winning bidder for the US$325 million project. The competitive dialogue process resulted in changes to some 500 of the requirements in the contract for the new 4km-long high-speed rail and road crossing, according to the client.
