Over the past decade, imm Cologne has improved a great deal. Time was when it was a bit of a backwater from a creative point of view and heavily aimed at the German market, but now it's attracting ever-larger manufacturers, and launches - once as scarce as hen's teeth - are now becoming commonplace. It also pulls in a hefty 150,000-plus group of visitors, which this year apparently came from more than 170 countries.
