For many photographers, it is the stimulation of the new and unfamiliar that provides the necessary impetus for artistic inspiration. As far as Canadian photographer Dorothy Richardson is concerned, creative inspiration is just as easily found in the everyday and familiar. Working with a pinhole camera and photographing primarily in and around her hometown, Grafton, Ontario, Richardson has created an impressive body of work infused with magic and innocence. "My subjects are mostly people and animals that are part of my life, or situations I relate with," says Richardson.
