CASE PACKERS —'ONE SIZE FITS ALL?'

The Constant Change Syndrome, in its broadest interpretation, could not be more profound than the transition of case packer design and function. Apart from hand loading containers into cases, two basic mechanical concepts are used to place containers into cases. One original design is a simple drop concept. Containers are channeled from a conveyor into a configured head with guide fingers and dropped into a case. Packer heads and guide fingers change with container size and containers per case. Another original design is a lifting/placing concept. A configured head with fingers (semi-robotic) is employed to lift containers from a conveyor to a case.
