Bank of Baroda: a new century - a new promise

From a humble beginning to its present status as India's international bank, Bank of Baroda's journey has been a saga of vision, enterprise, financial prudence and corporate governance. A story of ordinary bankers and their extraordinary contribution to make the bank what it is today. On July 19, 1969, the Bank of Baroda Ltd was nationalised and a new phase in banking started from its 433 branches committed to the new role of nation-building. The bank gave social banking a new dimension, with its Multi-Service Agency (MSA) model for urban micro-credit.
