NH Bank is the leading cooperative bank in Korea, with the largest branch network and loyal customer base. The former body of NH Bank was National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) that was established in 1961. NH Bank was freshly launched in March 2012 as a result of NACF's reorganization, which spun off NACF's agricultural product distribution business and financial business to enhance its business professionalism and competitiveness. NH Bank is the core profit engine of NongHyup Financial Group (NHFG) which is currently composed of seven subsidiaries including NH Bank, NH Life Insurance and NH Investment & Securities. NHFG has grown into an all encompassing financial group, providing an array of financial services from retail to corporate finance, IB, insurance, securities and asset management. NH Bank has continued to maintain a high confidence level with customers by operating under a co-operative principle. NH Bank is 100% owned by the 1167 member cooperatives of NACF, and they (NH Bank and member co-ops of NACF) collectively comprise the largest banking service group in Korea with $397bn asset and 5674 branches.
