The foreign exchange (FX) market has become more global and has weathered the benchmark-fixing scandal, according to the Bank of International Settlements' (BIS) three-yearly FX report released in September. Asian currencies and trading centres have climbed the rankings, but the renminbi has not performed as strongly as expected.
