Handed over to operator Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection at a christening ceremony at the end of March, the new vessel has an overall length of 135 metres and a narrow beam of 11.43 metres. The four-deck design, the largest in the Uniworld fleet, contains a total of 73 suites - all with river views - with a maximum capacity of 164 passengers. No expense was spared in the layout of the vessel, with the opulent interior arguably the most luxurious to be found upon a river cruiser anywhere in the world. Shipyard De Hoop worked closely with Uniworld and its sister company, Red Carnation Hotels Group, throughout the design process to create an interior with a feel reminiscent of a late 18th century Chateau de Versailles. Fine antiques and world-class paintings adorn the public areas, highlighted by a three-metre Strauss Baccarat chandelier - which originally hung in New York's famed Tavern in the Green - as the centrepiece of the two-storey lobby.
