Koden Electronics was established in 1947, two years after the Second World War. Founded by Yoji Ito, a holder of a Doctorate of Engineering, Mr Ito's previous employment included a role in the Naval Technical Research Department of the Japanese Imperial Navy. Upon founding his own company in peacetime, Mr Ito's hope was to make a meaningful contribution in "superb electrical technologies". He sought to cultivate innovation and development, drawing from his experiences in the navy and making these advances available to the world.
