I received the books as freebies, sent out with two new wine releases from two quite different producers. At first I thought 'Well, here's a welcome change from the usual jar of the winemaker's homemade tomato relish I suppose'. But then I realised that these gifts were highly symbolic of the current thinking at both ends of an increasingly polarised Australian wine industry.
