Simon and Margot Austerberry, proprietors of Marlargo Wines based in Adelaide were invited to attend the 2006 Denver International Wine Festival, Colorado, USA, after winning the gold medal for the Best Label Series at the 2006 Denver International Wine Show Label Competition. Other acclaim from the festival was the trophy gold for the Marlargo Riesling in the Best Dry Riesling class of the wine show. As part of the tour to collect the awards, Simon and Margot conducted further market research on how the portfolio of six varietal wines, and the accompanying labels, were perceived.
