The words 'efficiently' and 'sustainably' are bandied about frequently in our vernacular when describing the future of primary resource industries, including grapes and wine, and indeed the way we need to live from now on. The terms are used in this issue, in the context of the Australian Wine Research Institute's report about ensuring sustainable management of water and soil, and Provisor's timely advice about responding to current and pending increases in electricity costs, affecting all wineries in terms of operating refrigeration and other powered equipment.
