Wine consumers in the UK do not value environmentally sustainable wine production as much as the Australian wine industry believes, according to Adelaide Thinker in Residence, Professor Andrew Fearne, director of the Centre of Supply Chain Research at Kent Business School, University of Kent. Fearne resided in Adelaide during 2008 to undertake value chain and life cycle analyses of the Yalumba Wine Company's Oxford Landing brand, considered to be a good example of wine supplied in volume to UK supermarket chain Tesco, and is well recognised among the public due to ongoing promotional activity undertaken by Yalumba, which is among the partners of the project titled 'Vine to Dine'.
