For many years, sales of cask wine (soft pack, bag-in-box) made up the largest share of the domestic wine market. However, over the last decade the market share of cask wine has declined relative to bottled wine. Australian wine consumers appear to have traded up to higher quality and higher price points, and recent media reports have suggested the demise of the Australian cask wine sector.
