Comparing the costs of biodynamic and conventional viticulture in Australia: a recent study

University of Adelaide Masters student Irina Santiago has spent the past six months researching the costs associated with biodynamic viticulture systems and is about to embark on a PhD focussing on this topic in greater detail. Co-author Luke Johnston is a PhD student, also at the University of Adelaide, who has practical experience in both biodynamic and conventional vineyards in Victoria, New Zealand and France, and is researching the effects of organic and biodynamic viticulture systems.
