Optelian introduces multi-service networking card providing 14 × SFP and 2 × XFP ports for LightGAIN platform

Optelian of Ottawa and Marietta, Georgia, a supplier of optical networking solutions for access, metro, long haul, campus and data center interconnect applications, announced the addition of the FLX-1610 multi-service networking card for its MEF-certified LightGAIN portfolio. Providing high-density, multiprotocol aggregation and increased deployment options to improve network efficiency and service delivery flexibility in LightGAIN networks, the new FLX-1610 card features: 1. 14 × SFP ports for aggregation of any mix of client services and 2 × XFP line ports providing support for linear and ring topologies.
