摘要

To confirm ETI candidate signals detected by the SETI Targeted Search System(TSS)signal detection system, Local and Remote follow up detection devices(FUDD)are necessary. The Local FUDD is required to hook up to the same RF subsystem and antenna as the TSS to confirm the exist- Ence of the candidate signal and further classify it. the Remote FUDD that is hooked up to another RF system and antenna(usually smaller than the main antenna)is required to verify that the source of Such candidate is not terrestrial. The Local FUDD has to able to process several candidate signals reported by the TSS in each ob- Servation run, that may reside anywhere within the 10 MHz per MCSA frequency band.
