摘要

With this issue, I begin my tenure as Editor of Aslib Proceedings. After 30 years as an information management professional and then academic researcher, I am delighted with the opportunity to join this esteemed publication and to put my efforts and expertise to work on behalf of the information management community. Aslib Proceedings was first published in 1949. Over 60 years later, we see today that the information management community is increasingly collaborative and international, a trend also manifested by the development of the Web. From its origins as a UK publication Aslib Proceedings has grown into an international journal with papers from all continents. The Journal's mission is to publish papers of the scientific quality that are relevant for the theory and practice of information management. The aim is also to further develop the vision of Aslib
