Tiny Real-Time Engines Put New Spin on Universal Computing

"Pervasive computing" is more than just a slogan for The Real-Time Operating System Nucleus Project (TRON Project): it is the focus of years of research and development. Results from the TRON Project are available as open specifications that anyone may use freely to develop products. The project has reached several of its goals, including development of the T-Engine specifications, and the release of practical-use T-Engine products. The T-Engine is one of the pivotal elements in the group's vision of pervasive computing.
